| Bridger Bowl Ski Area, in conjunction with Subaru of Bozeman and Lehrkind’s Coca Cola, is pleased to present the Community Event Series for 2012. This season’s event series kicks-off with three consecutive races for Alpine and Telemark skiers. The Alpine series will be offered Saturdays, January 21, 28 and February 4 on the Bobcat Race Course. The course will be a Dual Giant Slalom format and each participant gets one timed run on both the red and blue courses.
Three uniquely challenging events will be offered for the Telmark series. A Dual Giant Slalom will start the series off Sunday, January 22. A Classic Telemark Race, with a skate start and finish follows on January 29, and the Apron Challenge, which consists of a timed hike up the Apron and an off-piste descent through Super G gates will take place Sunday, February 5.
Registration is from 8:30 - 10 in the Jim Bridger Lodge and all races start at noon. Course inspection is highly recommended, and begins at 11 am. Registration for the three-part series is $25, or $10 per event. Medals are awarded for the top three finishers in each age group and all racers are eligible for door prizes — you must be present to win!
